Job Description
Structural Integrity Associates, Inc. (SIA) is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Finance team in our Huntersville, North Carolina office.
Primary Responsibilities: - Prepare monthly journal entries, including sales, COGS, other SG&A expenses, intercompany transactions, and intercompany eliminations
- Assist in company/subsidiary financial and tax audits
- Assist in company budgeting process and monthly cost variance
- Participate in monthly close and generation of monthly financials
- Provide support on month-end closing and ad-hoc projects as assigned
- Reconcile GL balance sheet accounts
- Assist in project review and percent complete and revenue recognition to ensure compliance with GAAP
- Consolidation, review and analysis of monthly/quarterly/annual financial data, including the analysis of variances and identification of unusual items
- Assist finance staff with day-to-day accounting operations
- Assist with State Annual Report filings
Required Skills/Qualifications: - BS degree in Accounting
- Minimum 5 years of public accounting, or public (Audit & Tax) or private company relevant accounting experience
- Experience with professional service firms
- Strong understanding of Accounting Theory
- Highly detailed oriented and organized in work
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and communications skills
Desired Skills/Qualifications: - Company budget experience
- General Ledger and month-end close experience, required
- Experience in percent complete and revenue recognition
- Generally Accepted Accounting Principles & Cost Accounting Standards
- Microsoft Suite
- NetSuite experience, desired
