Boston Scores is a non-profit youth program formed in 1999 that serves K-12 students in the City of Boston and surrounding communities. Our mission is to help urban youth build essential life skills through soccer and team-based enrichment programs. We are dedicated to providing free, high-quality, soccer-based afterschool and summer learning programs that foster the development of young people through sports, education, and community engagement. Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized Data & Evaluations Manager with excellent spreadsheet skills to join our dynamic team at Boston Scores. The successful candidate will be responsible for tracking student registration, demography, constituent feedback and outcome data for more than 1,500 youth who enroll in our various programs around the City of Boston, including at school partner sites and at ournewly opened soccer & education center in East Boston.

Key Responsibilities:

● Track student registration and enrollment for all programs using our SportsEngine registration software

● Refine and update our system for tracking the number of youth impacted, reached & served by our program on an annual basis

● Manage the distribution and collection process for all in-house Scores assessments, including

  • End-of-season student retrospective surveys
  • End-of-year coach & parent retrospective surveys
  • Data collection requirements to fulfill 3rd party partnerships with funders and partners such as the U.S. Soccer Foundation and Boston After School & Beyond
  • Progressive Aerobic Cardiovascular Endurance Run (PACER) pre/post test results at selected sites
  • Graduation rate tracking & post-secondary destination reporting for 12th graders

● Liaison with Site Coordinators at school partner sites

  • Maintain regular communications with Site Coordinators to ensure that they are collecting and submitting student attendance records, distributing surveys and other scheduled data & evaluation milestones

Analysis & Internal Reporting

  • Analyze, prepare and publish annual outcome highlights to our Best Data & Evaluations folder for sharing across the organization
  • Prepare program data for the fundraising team upon request to support grant applications and sponsorship proposals

Data Entry and Management

  • Enter and collate program data into spreadsheets
  • Ensure that spreadsheets are updated from season to season and that formulas continue to work properly
  • Schedule hours and supervise the activities of any part-time Data Entry assistants

General Operations Support

  • Other duties as assigned by the Deputy Director

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 1 year of full-time experience working in a mission-based non-profit OR working with data and analytics in another professional setting

Skills and Competencies:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite software
  • Particular strength with spreadsheet building and formulas using Microsoft Excel
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency
  • Passion for the mission of sports-based youth development
  • Experience with sports league management software is a plus
  • Familiarity with Salesforce database software is a plus
  • Spanish-language proficiency is a plus

  • Occasional (but unusual) evenings and weekends may be required

Compensation & Environment

  • Starting salary: $48,000.

  • 3 weeks accrued vacation each year to start (incrementally increasing to 6 weeks based on length of service).
