What You Can Expect As our Sales Representative II with ENGIE North America, your primary objective is to prospect and acquire new Commercial and Industries (C&I) customers for ENGIE retail business in the New York (NYISO) & New England (NEPOOL) ISO regions to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities. In this role you will be Self-originate opportunities by identifying prospective Commercial and Industrial (C&I) customers using Marketing campaigns and Hoovers data while relying on your market knowledge, cold calling and networking skills resulting in the creation of a pipeline, within your prescribed territory. Revise this to flow better. This role sits in Boston, MA and will report to the Sales Director.
- Evaluate customer creditworthiness according to Credit Guidelines, utilizing financial literacy and relationship management abilities to gather necessary data for credit risk analysis
- Gather consumption data and account information to qualify customer interest, tailoring price proposals to meet their specific needs and load patterns
- Master ENGIE product offerings and communicate how proposals align with customer requirements, ensuring a thorough understanding of their needs
- Utilize questioning, listening, and persuasive skills to assess customer needs, propose tailored electricity supply offers, negotiate terms, and close transactions, collaborating with key teams for seamless service delivery and revenue realization
What You'll Bring - You hold a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field where you studied business principles, management, and marketing
- A minimum of two (2) years of business experience where you gain experience in retail energy sales or developing and implementing effective sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets
- You possess direct sales experience, ideally within the retail energy industry
- You demonstrate persuasive communication, effective negotiation skills, and the ability to interact with executive-level decision-makers
- You are a self-driven individual capable of quickly learning new products, processes, and systems
- You demonstrate the ability to manage multiple assignments concurrently on a timely basis
Additional Details - This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy, allowing for a mix of remote work and in-office presence
- Must be available to travel domestically up to 15% of the time and with the need for some overnight trips
- Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license/clean driving record for travel and car rentals
- Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
Compensation Salary Range: $62,400 - $95,450 USD annually
This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.
Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for an incentive plan.
