Salary: The expected pay rate for this position is $25.00 - $32.00 per hour. The actual pay rate offered may vary on multiple factors including, but not limited to, experience, knowledge, skills, certifications and/or location.
Schedule: There must be flexibility with shift changes based on the flight schedule. For example, 3 times a month there is a midnight start time because of a standard flight route. When no flight is scheduled, it is a 7:00am start. Monday - Friday with possible weekend hours if flight scheduled. This is a fulltime position.POSITION SUMMARY
As a Ramp Agent at AES, you will play a crucial role in our Boeing Dreamlifter Operations team, ensuring the safe and efficient handling of cargo from aircraft to airport facilities. Your responsibilities will include guiding aircraft to and from gate positions, operating a variety of ground support equipment with precision and expertise, and meticulously maintaining records to guarantee accurate cargo routing. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with team members to uphold our commitment to excellence in airport services, contributing to the smooth and seamless operation of our Boeing Dreamlifter services.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Safely lift, load, unload, and transport air cargo, bulk, and/or containers/pallets from aircraft to airport facilities, demonstrating meticulous handling skills and adherence to stringent safety protocols to ensure the integrity of the cargo.
Precisely guide aircraft to and from gate positions with efficiency and accuracy, contributing to on-time connections and the smooth flow of airport operations.
Provide specialized handling of cargo as required or directed by lead and management, following specific instructions meticulously to ensure the secure and safe transport of sensitive or fragile items.
Execute the delivery of air cargo to designated recipients with precision and attention to detail, strictly adhering to established procedures and documentation requirements to guarantee proper handling and timely delivery.
Operate a diverse range of ground support equipment, including tow tractors, belt loaders, baggage tugs, and cargo carts, showcasing expertise in handling various equipment types to support the efficiency of airport operations.
Conduct thorough inspections of ramp areas adjacent to gate and aircraft for debris, promptly removing and disposing of any hazards to maintain a safe and clean working environment for all personnel.
Promptly report all equipment malfunctions to the appropriate supervisor or manager, facilitating swift repairs and minimizing disruptions to operational efficiency.
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, municipal, airport authority, and carrier security requirements, maintaining strict adherence to safety and security protocols at all times to uphold the highest standards of safety for personnel and cargo alike.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

High School diploma, or equivalent; 2 - 4 years related work experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
Previous ramp experience a plus.
Adherence to safety protocols and regulations.
Work efficiently under pressure to ensure timely departures and arrivals.
Ability to work in extreme conditions, including hot and cold weather, confined spaces as well as high noise level and environmental conditions, i.e., jet engine noise, dust, vehicle emissions, and jet engine fumes.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Familiarity with basic computer programs to assist with record-keeping and baggage routing.

Pull, push, and lift objects weighing up to 70 lbs onto or from a conveyor belt.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must have a valid driver’s license.
No travel restrictions.
