ABOUT THE POSITION
GTN Technical Staffing is seeking (3) dedicated Manual QA Testers to join our team on-site in Castle Rock, CO. In this role, you will be a key player in ensuring the quality and reliability of our commercial-grade SaaS applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and other QA engineers, to thoroughly test and validate software, ensuring it meets established quality standards before release.

You will focus on executing detailed manual test cases, identifying bugs, and working collaboratively with the development team to address and resolve issues. Your role will involve validating both functional and non-functional aspects of the software, ensuring a seamless and user-friendly experience for our clients.

As part of a larger QA team, you will report directly to the QA Manager, who oversees both manual and automation testing strategies. You ll have the opportunity to contribute to continuous improvements in testing processes and methodologies as the team works toward enhancing overall software quality.
  • Execute manual test plans and detailed test cases across various SaaS applications, ensuring comprehensive test coverage.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects using established tools and processes, collaborating with developers to validate fixes.
  • Perform regression, functional, and exploratory testing to ensure quality at every stage of the software development life cycle (SDLC).
  • Collaborate with the QA Manager and other QA engineers to refine testing strategies and processes.
  • Work closely with product managers and developers to understand requirements, acceptance criteria, and potential edge cases.
  • Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives as part of an Agile/Scrum team.
  • Assist in maintaining test documentation and reporting on testing progress, results, and overall quality metrics.
  • Stay updated on the latest manual testing techniques and industry best practices.

REQUIREMENTS
2+ years of experience in the following skill sets...

  • Manual software testing, with a strong understanding of QA methodologies and best practices.
  • Experience testing web-based applications and familiarity with SaaS environments.
  • Solid understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and its relation to quality assurance.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality software.
  • Proficiency with defect-tracking tools (e.g., Jira) and test management platforms.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify issues early and work proactively with cross-functional teams.
  • Effective communication skills, enabling smooth collaboration with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment.

PREFERRED (BUT NOT REQUIRED)

  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Knowledge of basic automation concepts and a willingness to learn automation testing practices.
  • Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Relevant certifications in software testing (e.g., ISTQB).
