Parts Consultant (FT) Location Fort Lauderdale, FL : The Parts Consultant is a crucial member of our team responsible for providing exceptional customer service and support in the sale of boat parts and accessories. This role assists customers in identifying and purchasing the right boat parts while maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring a seamless parts procurement process for boat enthusiasts.
Responsibilities: - Customer Service: Greet and assist customers in a friendly and knowledgeable manner, addressing their boat parts needs and inquiries.
- Parts Identification: Utilize expertise to accurately identify and recommend the appropriate boat parts, accessories, or upgrades based on customer requirements.
- Inventory Management: Maintain precise inventory records, monitor stock levels, and reorder boat parts and accessories as needed to ensure availability.
- Order Processing: Process customer orders efficiently and accurately, including selecting, packaging, and arranging delivery or pickup.
- Cross-Selling: Offer related boat parts, accessories, or upgrades to customers to maximize sales opportunities and enhance their boating experience.
- Technical Assistance: Provide technical information and guidance to customers regarding boat parts installation, compatibility, and best practices.
- Price Quoting: Calculate and provide accurate price quotes to customers, including any applicable discounts or promotions.
- Returns and Exchanges: Process returns, exchanges, and warranty claims in accordance with company policies.
- Documentation: Maintain organized records of boat parts sales, transactions, and customer interactions.
- Inventory Audits: Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies to ensure accurate stock levels.
- Supplier Relations: Establish and maintain positive relationships with boat parts suppliers and vendors.
- Showroom Display: Organize and maintain an appealing and well-organized boat parts display area.
- Safety: Adhere to safety guidelines and ensure safe handling of boat parts and equipment.
- Customer Feedback: Collect and document customer feedback, concerns, and suggestions to improve service.
- Training: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new boat parts, and accessories through training and self-study.
- Computer Systems: Utilize computer systems and software for inventory management, ordering, and sales transactions.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient operations and provide seamless customer service.
- Loss Prevention: Implement measures to prevent loss or theft of boat parts and equipment.
Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or technical training is advantageous.
- Previous experience in boat parts, marine equipment, or a related field is preferred.
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
- In-depth knowledge of boat parts, accessories, and their applications.
- Ability to accurately identify boat parts based on specifications, descriptions, or customer needs.
- Proficiency in using computer systems and software for parts ordering and inventory management.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ethical and values-driven approach to customer interactions.
- Physical capability to lift and transport heavy boat parts and equipment as required.
- Flexibility to work variable hours, including weekends and holidays, based on business needs.
